Identify a products components that can be changed by a manufacturer 2. Identify the function of each component 3. Remove an essential component 4. Visualize what that resulting form may look like 5. Explore whether the new form meets known or unknown customer needs 6. Consider the feasibility of implementing this product 7. Make adaptations to overcome known challenges
